The Nelson Lodge Holiday House

The Nelson Lodge is a large, 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, self-catering, holiday house in a the quiet, beachside suburb of Ocean Reef, on the Sunset Coast, WA. The house is adjoined to the Bermuda Suite and can make up part of the Trafalgar Retreat when internal doors are unlocked. Check the floor plan for details. The beach is only a 5 minute walk from the house, so is the Ocean Reef Boat Harbour. The Joondalup Country Club and Golf Course is a 5 minute drive from here.

The city centre is a 25 minute drive, and there is a train station a 5 minute drive away.

The house is totally self contained with all linen, towels and a fully equiped kitchen. The garden contains a salt water swimming pool. The garden is terraced, with a view from the patio, over the pool area.

The pool is shared with the Bermuda Suite in the large, fenced, garden.

The house also offers an under-cover, secure car park, for 1 car, at no extra charge.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom (open to living area) has 2 single beds in the third bedroom has a double bed with a single bunk above, providing generous accommodation for 7 adults and a cot. 2 bed settees are also available for extra guests. All the beds have a doonna with fresh cotton covers that are washed after every guest stay.

The kitchen incorporates its own mini-laundry complete with a washing machine.

A large patio, with sea views, looks down over the garden area. An ideal spot for a pre-dinner drink.

The local shopping centre is a 3 minute walk with Petrol stations, hairdressing salons, bakeries, Chinese restaurants, newsagents, medical centres and pharmacy, and a bus stops just around the corner.

Beachfront cycle paths and walkways meander for 22 kilometres alongside the beach and past the boat ramps towards Hillary’s, Scarborough and Fremantle. Hire a bike to explore for a day. At dusk see the kangaroos hiding the bush along the paths. Take a picnic or bar-be-que to one of the many parks along the coast. Most of the parks have free gas bar-be-ques, with sheltered tables and seating. See the kangaroos, 5 minutes away, at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park.

Swim in the safe beaches and coves, or take the surf board to the beaches with a swell.

From Ocean Reef drive down the coast road to Scarborough & Cottesloe, through Mullaloo, Kallaroo, Hillarys, Sorrento, North Beach, and Marmion. See the fish by snorkelling along the Marmion Marine Park at North Beach or Mettams Pool.

A 5 minute drive to Joondalup Golf Course.
